Memory Card Reader FAQs
Benefits of using the 6
in 1 Memory Card Reader versus connecting your device directly to a
computer
-
Speed and Convenience: Having the ability to read multiple
card formats with one small single cable unit is probably the most obvious
reason. Your device normally runs at a much slower speed than reading directly
from the flash card reader. For those of you who are using serial cables to
download off of your camera, It's certain that you will appreciate the
difference between minutes and seconds!!! Downloading Music: Some MP3 players
use Smart Media or Compact Flash and simple DOS formatting, for these players
you can use our card reader to save music blazingly fast!
-
Extra Drive: With an appropriate Smart Media card, the memory
card reader becomes a mini Solid State Drive, this allows you to easily
transport around files that just won't fit on a floppy.
-
Plug and Play: : The USB Memory Card Reader requires only a
minimum of setup time. This means that anyone can connect this up and get it
working.
Troubleshoot your Memory Card Reader
Why can't I copy files to my card anymore?
The user should first check to see if the card is damaged by running scandisk
on the computer. If the card has been previously formatted in a computer or
other reader, try to reformat the card using the Digital Camera.
Why do I get an error message "this card cannot be written to or copied"?
Please try to unplug the card or unplug the card reader, and plug back again.
How could my Flash Card get damaged?
The Flash Card may damage by the card reader only if the user unplugs the card
before all the data is finished copying. Use the eject icon to stop the reader
before removing the card, or inserting another card. Note: Each Flash Card has
different time to copy some files. For example SM card is much slower then the
CF card If the flash card is corrupt, we suggest you to reformat the card using
your digital camera.
